The man behind the microphone.

Kasper was born and grew up in southern Saskatchewan, where the goal of every Canadian boy was to be a hockey player. He was actually drafted to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1983. Life dream fulfilled. Less than 2 weeks later, a dirt bike accident popped that balloon, and left him with a permanently damaged knee and shoulder to boot. Dream over…

So what’s a fella to do that had no idea where to go from there? The universe had an idea. In 1987, whilst attending a Greek studies class at the University of Calgary, he turned to the person beside him, someone he’d been sitting beside for weeks and didn’t even know his name, and said “do you know of any theatre companies in town?” The gentleman stared at him, reached into his briefcase and handed him a flyer, stating, “I’m the public relations director of a company called Theatre80. We’re putting on Tennessee Williams’ play Camino Real. Auditions are on Wednesday. Why don’t you come out?”

Kasper was finally cast for one of the lead roles, the role of the Narrator, Mr. Gutman. At the audition, the director called out, in front of the assembled hopefuls, “I’d like to offer you the role of Gutman… you didn’t read it very well, you’re not what I’m looking for, but I like your voice.” That should have been a sign, but it took Kasper another twenty years to figure that out.

The years he spent as actor were, as he puts it, incredible. He learned many things and met many inspirational people. He is proud to have found an additional home in the Voice Over Industry. He is passionate about the craft and able to channel all his years of experience into something that is both personal and professional at the same time.

He is a Storyteller. Let him tell you a story. Your story.
